The Band

About us

Wealden Brass is an amateur brass band, based in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Wealden Brass, Dec 2016

Current members Graham & Sue back in 1981 (& Trevor hiding behind his Euphonium)

With members aged from 11 upwards, we all have on thing in common, and that is our passion for playing music. Whether during our practice evenings each Tuesday night at Union Corner Hall, on Eastbourne bandstand or in the middle of a field at a local fete, you’ll find us, above all enjoying ourselves and hopefully passing on some of our enthusiasm to those listening too. Our junior band too is growing from strength to strength, thanks to our recent partnership with Hailsham Community College and those members of the band and the college that support local practices.

If you have an interest in making music and would like to be part of our group, please feel free to drop an email to the band or pop along to our practice sessions which run from 8:00 through to 10:00. (Juniors typically from 7:15 and with the senior band from 8:00 until 9:00.)  (See contact us)
